Class’6 flat answers the logistical, marketing and commercial requirements of the wine-making sector. Highly original, practical, optimised for palletising and a great way to convey your brand image, Class’6 is an all-in-one, top-of-the-range shipping carton.
Convenience above all!
Class’6 allows for the optimal placement of 6 bottles packed at an angle inside a square carton. The lower flaps, which form an integral part of the carton, are raised on both sides of each bottle to provide maximum protection. This novel incorporation of the internal fittings enables you to reduce costs, handling and storage: you no longer need to add dividers!
A universal pack
Class’6 is compatible with standard Champagne, Burgundy and Bordeaux bottles. Additional versions of Class’6 are currently being developed for other standard bottle categories. The concept can also be customised where necessary for special sizes.
A patented design
Class’6 is a patented and protected packaging concept. As the intellectual property of Soufflet Vigne, it is also covered by a trademark and design registration.
Mechanised Carton Assembly
Soufflet Vigne has also developed 2 types of machines for the mechanisation of the Class’6:
- A semi-automatic machine for private wine cellars and small cooperatives;
- A fully automatic machine with built-in robot, making it possible to completely mechanise the assembly of the carton and dividers, as well as to take the bottles and insert them in the carton with a selector to ensure that the labels are displayed to best effect (speed: 3,000 bottles per hour)
Class’6 is easier to store in a warehouse: the dividers, already integrated in the carton, reduce congestion during the storage process.
The size of the Class’6 is ideal for Euro-pallets and its dimensions make it easy to prepare a pallet: the cross-stacking of cartons is no longer necessary. Class’6 naturally makes full use of the entire surface area of the pallet. A total of 360 bottles can be palletised with a height of just 1 metre.
Class’6 offers greater stability on the pallet thanks to its horizontal six-bottle layout.
The low height of the Class’6 prevents the bottom layer of cartons from getting crushed when palletised. Furthermore, the carton’s double-wall fibreboard keeps it from deteriorating and its vertical resistance in a pallet is outstanding. The age-old problem of damage sustained by cartons placed at the bottom of a pallet after a long journey is now definitively solved.
A powerful marketing tool
An original and elegant design
Making a break with traditional wine box designs, the square shape of the Class’6 offers an attractive and original bottle presentation from the moment it is opened. The use of the “six flat” solution, with the six bottles packed at an angle, creates an impression of balance and uniformity. The built-in flaps guarantee the pack’s sobriety, with the product taking centre stage.
All of the outer surfaces and the inner and outer flaps can be printed in 1, 2, or 3 colours or in full colour with a high print quality. In order to further highlight all or part of the printed features on the carton, varnish coatings can also be selectively applied.
A genuine sales aid
Offering an unrivalled printing surface, Class’6 is a genuine marketing and differentiation tool. The pack becomes a showcase for brand image and a means of attracting customers. It was designed to help French winegrowers boost their sales and help them to really stand out.
The only transit carton to double as a « gift pack »
Class’6 is a traditional shipping case conveying the image of a high-end box but with the looks of a gift pack.
- It was thought out to meet all the requirements of the traditional 6-bottle transit carton in terms of transport, packing, safety and assembly
- Class’6 is also an attractive gift pack in its own right. Fully customisable it enables you to display your products to best effect all the while simplifying the logistics for your gift pack campaigns.
Class’6 Vertical is a new carton, both more cost-efficient and more environmentally friendly which displays products to their best effect.
In the Class’6 family dividers are integrated
As was the case with Class’6 flat, this new patented 6-bottle carton is equipped with integrated dividers to maintain and protect bottles so that inside squaring or partitions no longer need to be added in the carton. Indeed, the box’s special design includes dividers which are pressed inwards when the box is unfolded and serve as a wedging between the bottles.
A standard in terms of eco-design
Thanks to its integrated inserts, Class’6 vertical uses significantly less material than a traditional box, yet provides bottles with the same level of protection. Over 20% of material is saved compared to a box with un-fixed dividers.
A more cost-efficient product
The gain in material generates an economic benefit, with a price 20% lower than for a traditional box.
A genuine marketing tool
Not only does the integration of dividers protect products, it also helps showcase the bottles. The ability to see the medal and label of the product has a greater impact and provides a higher level of product customisation. In addition, some creative correlation between the carton and the label could well be conceived in order to generate even more appeal.
Class’6 vertical is available for sparkling wine, Burgundy and Bordeaux bottles and can be adapted for any type of bottle.
The folding of the box can be fully mechanised in order to optimise performance levels during the bottling process. The machine, which was specifically designed for this carton, is available at Soufflet Vigne for purchase or for rental.
Many other options have been designed by the Soufflet Vigne teams including reinforcement brackets for pallet angles or the possibility to add adhesive carry handles on top of the box.
