CSR Policy
Set up in 2013 and reporting to the Human and Social Relations Department, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) department is an expression of the Group’s determination to conduct its agro-industrial business in a manner that ensures respect not only for its stakeholders (customers and suppliers, employees and their families, public sector bodies and individuals from civil society), but also for the energy and plant resources provided by nature, so that the earth’s potential is harnessed to best advantage.

This move follows on from the formal statement in 2010 of the Group’s ten sustainable development commitments, which have since been the subject of a number of annual reports. The group’s ten commitments relate to three areas:

Environmental commitments:
• Promote efficient and environmentally responsible agricultural practices
• Protect resources, especially water and energy
• Reduce our environmental impact
• Optimise logistics
• Cut greenhouse gas emissions

Economic commitments:
• Foster innovation in all areas
• Ensure food safety

Social commitments:
• Ensure the safety of employees and property
• Uphold and convey our social and ethical values
• Strengthen ties with our social and economic environment
